HOUSTON (December 21, 2022) – Holland & Knight has bolstered its leading Corporate, M&A and Securities Practice Group with the addition of energy attorney Paul Monsour as a partner in Houston. "As we continue to expand our energy practice footprint in Texas, Paul's legal acumen combined with his strong background in accounting will be of great value to our clients across the globe," said Jeremiah Mayfield, practice group leader for the Texas region of Holland & Knight's Corporate, M&A and Securities Practice Group. "In addition, his experience with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is an added plus for clients navigating securities law and financial reporting requirements, and we are thrilled to welcome him to our firm."
Prior to joining Akin Gump, Mr. Monsour served as an attorney-advisor in the SEC's Division of Corporation Finance. He also served as a senior staff accountant in the SEC's Division of Corporation Finance. Before joining the SEC, Mr. Monsour was an auditor for two of the Big Four accounting firms.
"Holland & Knight is a well-established leader in energy law and has an equally distinguished corporate practice, making it the perfect fit for my practice," Mr. Monsour said. "I am excited to join a vibrant and growing firm that encourages teamwork and business development, and I look forward to working with my new colleagues in Texas and beyond."
