Holland & Knight Represents Equinix in Power Purchase Agreement with Sonnedix
HOUSTON (December 15, 2023) – Holland & Knight advised Equinix Inc. (Nasdaq: EQIX) in a 10-year, pay-as-produced power purchase agreement (PPA) in Portugal with global renewable energy producer Sonnedix. The PPA was announced December 5.
Equinix will secure renewable electricity from July 2025 supplied by Sonnedix's first Portuguese solar photovoltaic (PV) project, 149 megawatt (MW) Sonnedix Douro. When operational, the solar PV plant will produce renewable electricity to power 78,000 Portuguese homes and avoid over 33,000 tons of CO2 emissions per year.
