Overview

Sam Jacobs is a corporate attorney in Holland & Knight's Nashville office and a member of the firm’s Healthcare Transactions Team. Mr. Jacobs focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and other strategic transactions in the healthcare industry.

Mr. Jacobs assists private equity firms, healthcare providers, physician practice management companies and healthcare investors in mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, dispositions and private equity investments. He works extensively on buy-side and sell-side deals involving single specialty and multispecialty medical practices spanning dental/dental services organizations (DSOs), ophthalmology, wound care, chiropractic and others.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Jacobs served as in-house counsel for a leading regional outpatient physical therapy clinic, where he navigated Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law and False Claims Act (FCA) while structuring deals. Previously, he worked with an international accounting firm, where he focused on data privacy matters.
