Kevin Smith

Kevin Smith is a private equity attorney in Holland & Knight's Charlotte office. Mr. Smith focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private equity, growth equity, search funds, independent sponsors and venture capital investments.

Mr. Smith advises clients in a variety of sectors, including business services, technology, industrials, life sciences, media and entertainment. He counsels sponsors, portfolio companies, entrepreneurs, management teams and strategic clients in various corporate matters. Mr. Smith also routinely advises startup companies throughout their corporate life cycle.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Smith was an attorney at a global law firm based in Boston, where he focused on M&A, leveraged buyouts, early-stage and growth investments and other general corporate matters.

During law school, Mr. Smith was a student attorney at the BU/MIT Startup Law Clinic and provided counsel to campus-based entrepreneurs.
