Overview

Luke Sturgeon is a corporate attorney in Holland & Knight's Seattle office. Mr. Sturgeon focuses his practice primarily on business transactions, corporate finance and governance, and the diverse needs of early-stage companies, assisting clients with drafting and negotiating agreements, securing financing, performing due diligence and advising on corporate governance issues.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Sturgeon was an attorney at a Seattle-based law firm. While in law school, Mr. Sturgeon counseled startups and small businesses through the Entrepreneurial Law Clinic, helping his clients with entity formation and structure, strategic handling of intellectual property and early rounds of fundraising. He also externed in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of Washington, served as notes and comments editor for the Washington Law Review and led the Military Law Association.

Before law school, Mr. Sturgeon was an active-duty officer in the U.S. Air Force, and his service took him all over the world, including several deployments to Afghanistan and the Middle East.
