Firms Set Their Sights on Cuba after Castro
Jose Sirven, a partner in the Miami office of Holland & Knight, was quoted extensively in a March 2006 National Law Journal article about doing legal work in a post-Castro Cuba. Sirven, a member of the firm's Cuba action team, believes that if a democratic government follows Castro's reign, legal work in Cuba will likely include "everything under the sun." The firm has a plan to assist clients who will eventually be entering the market and assessing business opportunities on the island.
