Mexico has had a law regulating the use and protection of its citizens’ personal data since 2010.  Just as companies are struggling with the European Union’s privacy mandates when dealing with European citizens, international companies must also consider privacy laws in Mexico when dealing with their employees, customers, and suppliers in Mexico.  This client alert summarizes the key requirements of Mexico’s data privacy regime.
