This Is the Gender Change in the Citizenship Card
Tax attorney Gabriela Tellez was cited in a Gestión y Negocio article about the ability to change gender on a Colombian citizenship card. She also commented that there are still areas to regulate regarding access to the old-age pension for transgender people, but the ruling of the Constitutional Court opens the door for their pension rights to be examined under the conditions established for the gender with which they are self recognize.
Ms. Tellez said she believes that the conditions have not yet been fully regulated in the case of a transgender person who wants to retire after changing their gender on their identity card.
