Colorado AI Law Catapults AG Weiser to National Policy Influence

Data strategy and privacy attorney Rachel Marmor was quoted in a Bloomberg Law article about Colorado's groundbreaking artificial intelligence (AI) law and its potential national implications. The law, set to take effect in 2026, requires developers and users of "high-risk" AI systems to mitigate algorithmic discrimination. Ms. Marmor noted that companies using AI will find it challenging to focus compliance efforts solely on Colorado.

"The nature of the requirements is such that it would be next to impossible to comply as to only Colorado use-cases if the AI system is used nationally," she said.
