The Government Enters a Decisive Period for Its Social Reforms in Congress
Labor, Employment and Benefits attorney Camilo Cuervo was mentioned in an article published by La República examining the status of various social reforms proposed by Colombia's government. Some analysts have pointed out that the environment to move these reforms forward is not ideal, which is why intense debates in Congress are anticipated. Mr. Cuervo commented on the reform to the country's General Participation System (SGP).
"There is much uncertainty because that radically changes a policy and a good image that the Colombian government and Colombian state had of being very responsible in managing their finances," he said.
