Overview

Stephen McKay is a corporate attorney in Holland & Knight's Seattle office. Mr. McKay focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), as well as corporate finance and emerging businesses.

Mr. McKay advises private and public companies on a wide range of legal issues. His buy-side clients include purchasers from independent sponsors to strategic acquirers. When advising sellers, Mr. McKay negotiates divestitures, recapitalizations and exits in competitive auctions and closed sale processes. His clients operate in a variety of industries, including healthcare, manufacturing, aerospace, residential and construction services, and software.

In addition to his M&A practice, Mr. McKay works closely with entrepreneurs to structure their new business ventures and raise startup capital, as well as with investors, including angels and institutional investors, in evaluating potential investments in growing companies.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. McKay was an attorney at a Seattle-based law firm.
