Holland & Knight Deals Honored with 2020 M&A Atlas Awards
MIAMI (March 16, 2020) – Three transactions completed by Holland & Knight were named middle-market “Deals of the Year” at the M&A Atlas Awards, hosted by the Global M&A Network. The M&A Atlas Awards recognize the achievements of influential dealmakers and leaders, outstanding firms and the best-growth-delivering transactions of the year. The awards ceremony was held in Washington, D.C., on March 5.
Cubic Corporation’s (NYSE: CUB) $64 million acquisition of Nuvotronics was named Technology M&A Deal of the Year (small to mid-market). Holland & Knight’s representation of Cubic Corporation was led by Partner Marisa Terrenzi. Ms. Terrenzi was also honored by Global M&A Network as a 2020 Top Woman Dealmaker.
The Golden Hippo Employee Stock Ownership Plan’s purchase of a 30 percent interest in the company for approximately $300 million was named the ESOP Deal of the Year (middle market). Holland & Knight represented Argent Trust Company, which acted as trustee of the ESOP. Partner Grant McCorkhill led the firm’s work on the transaction with the help of Partners Christopher Buch and Renee Lewis.
Blue Wolf Capital Partners’ acquisition of Kirlin Design Build (KDB) was named Engineering & Construction M&A Deal of the Year. Holland & Knight’s representation of the Kirlin affiliate that sold KDB was led by Partners Richard Yanofsky and John Monaghan.
